Video Conferencing Tips/Tricks
Updated: Apr 20, 2021
A checklist of things to do before you get on the call, this entry at the Office Team blog is so well done that I saved the content offline. It also has pointers for once you and your colleagues are "live."
I'll call out here the OT's advice about using a wired Ethernet connection for Skype for Business (or Lync). I've watched and listened as colleagues struggled to be seen and heard, all because of WiFi's variability.
If you're in a SOHO, you can run a cable in a pinch, if your router is in another room -- even Target sells 25' and 50' Ethernet cables. Better still, have a pro install RJ45 jacks to provide connectivity where you need it. My telco installed jacks (for free!) when I had DSL setup in my new SOHO.
